My Wichita Awakening
I moved to Wichita for a job at WSU, carrying all my belongings and a ton of anxiety. The first month was hard. I'd wander through Old Town on weekends, past the straight couples holding hands, wondering where all the queer folks were hiding. Then one magical Tuesday, I stumbled into Revolutsia and spotted a tiny rainbow flag in a coffee shop window. That's where I met Jamie, who invited me to a queer book club that literally changed everything.
When Kansas Feels Like Quicksand
Let's be real about the struggles:
